JOB SUMMARY

The ideal candidate will be passionate about helping the Business & Legal Affairs team grow and evolve; thrive in a dynamic start-up environment; possess the ability to complete high volumes of complex projects quickly with little oversight; and react appropriately to urgent situations or tasks.

JOB DESCRIPTION

  • Coordinate with the talent team and assist with the drafting of a high volume of talent agreements related to the production of Brat’s original content

  • Work with the marketing and partnership teams to ensure that all promotional content conforms to negotiated talent parameters

  • Vet scripts and cuts for copyright, trademark and defamation issues

  • Advise on day-to-day production issues involving the unions/guilds and creating tools to help all departments understand the applicable guidelines

  • Assist with the drafting of standard production agreements (equipment, location releases, etc)

  • Analyze and interpret pre-existing Brat contracts and create and maintain organizational devices for all departments to utilize

  • Manage and facilitate communication between internal teams regarding important dates and deadlines.


JOB REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor’s degree; JD preferred.

  • Minimum 2 years working in business affairs, production, entertainment legal or at an advertising agency.

  • Knowledge of studio production, development and talent deals, licensing, intellectual property, and union/guild rules

  • Demonstrated experience working with the unions/guilds (e.g., SAG-AFTRA, DGA, WGA, IATSE, etc.) 

  • Must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Demonstrated ability to work independently, within a team-oriented environment

  • Must be able to meet deadlines consistently and effectively while working under pressure; candidate must be able to manage multiple assignments at any given time and prioritize them effectively and appropriately
