DIY New Years Crafts and Treats


If you know me, you know that I am obsessed with cake pops. Whenever I’m sending someone to get me a latté, I’ll always tell them to look out for cake pops just in case I want a treat that day. Well, New Year’s Eve is the perfect occasion to treat yourself!

Whether you’re celebrating with friends, family, or by yourself, these cake pops - wait, I mean clock pops - make an incredible midnight (or just before midnight) snack. They’re sweet, chocolate-y, and so adorable they’re Instagram-worthy. Could you ask for more?!

Refrigerated pie crusts

Cookie cutter

Chocolate chips

Popsicle sticks

White candy melts

Edible food pen


  1. Preheat your oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit.

  2. Unroll your pie crust and cut out 2-inch circles using the cookie cutter.

  3. Place your pie crust circles onto a linked baking sheet. Then, put chocolate chips and a popsicle stick in the center of each one.

  4. Put another pie crust circle on top to seal each pop, and push down the edges with a fork.

  5. Bake 8-10 minutes or until browned, then let them cool.

  6. Melt your white candy and pour the melt into a tall glass. You may need some help for this part! Then, dip each cake pop into the white candy melt.

  7. Once each pop is dipped, place it upright so it can harden. (Tip: use a bowl full of jelly beans or beads for this step!)

  8. When the pops are completely hardened, use the edible pen to draw a clock on each one.

  9. Serve and enjoy!
