Tristan Tales: The 411

BRAT 4.19-76.jpg

We caught up with the very funny star of Boss Cheer to get his 411. Here's what we gathered:

Of all the scenes you’ve shot for Brat, what is your favorite?

On Episode 2 of Boss Cheer, there’s a scene that took place in a pool and we literally got to spend the entire day in a pool filming, It was great until hour 6, when my skin was so pruney I might as well have been method acting for the role of a raisin.

What do you love about being on set?

Endless craft services.

What do you hate about being on set?

...Endless craft services

What would you tell someone who sees your life as perfect and glamorous?

Well first off, they clearly haven’t seen the old jalopy of a car that I drive. And secondly, that they don’t get to see all the unglamorous hours behind-the-scenes, when I’m pulling all-nighters editing or hiding in a dumpster for 15 minutes all so I can jump out and scare my roomies for an IG story. Social media is curated to look a certain way, we present the highlight reel, but a lot of work goes into it.

What is your favorite thing to do when you're not on set or working?

Definitely just hanging out with friends, especially whooping them all in Mario Kart. I’m undefeated. True story.

What's your favorite TV show currently to watch?

Boss Cheer, every Thursday afternoon, only on Brat.

What is your favorite Youtube video that you've posted?

It’s actually one that I haven’t posted yet. All I can say is it’s coming out very soon. And might just change your life. Or might not. But it might.

What was your first time on set and what was it like?

It was sort of like the first day of school but without having to worry about your outfit because a costume designer picked it for you. I was a bit nervous since I hadn’t done any acting before outside of my own material, but everyone was so friendly and nice, it was easy to chill and have a good time.

When did you know you wanted to be a professional singer/actor?

I knew I wanted to be a professional singer the day I was born, but didn’t know at the time that I would be the most musically-challenged human and worst singer of all time. I’ve always wanted to do creative work, but never expected to be acting. It’s been quite the journey and I can’t wait to see where it takes me.

One random fun fact about yourself or your life?

I’m lactose intolerant. Wait, that’s not fun. That’s the opposite of fun.
