Hayley Talks Hotel Du Loone
“In one word they are very extra,” Hayley LeBlanc reports when we ask about the outfits she wears in Hotel Du Loone, “In another word they are... rainbow.”
Just like her character, Jazzy, Hayley is precocious and bursting with personality. Here's everything she wants you to know about her experience filming our first ever multi-cam comedy:
How did you feel when you first found out that you’d be doing this show?
Excited but very nervous. I didn’t know what it would be like having my own show.
What was the most exciting scene to film?
The very first scene that we shot. I walk into the lobby and say, “Honey, I'm home!”
What was the greatest challenge about playing this role?
Having to be so bubbly and colorful all the time.
What did you do to get into character?
I practiced being sassy and sarcastic!
How was filming Hotel different than filming Chicken Girls?
Hotel Du Loone is a multi-cam show, so it shoots way faster than Chicken Girls.
What was your favorite outfit from the season?
It wasn't one of mine. It was when the guys dressed up like maids. Very funny.
In what ways are you similar to Jazzy? In what ways are you different?
Well, we're both kind of adult, sarcastic, funny. We're different in that I don't dress like her. She's a rainbow girl and I'm literally in black sweatpants right now.
What do you want fans to take away from the show?
I want fans to really see that we had so much fun filming it. I hope they can tell how much we all genuinely like each other!
