Q: Do you like Halloween?

“Spooky season is the superior season,” declares Lilia Buckingham from behind the scenes of a photoshoot. “I LOVE Halloween, I can’t even. I’m at a loss for words. Literally, on Twitter, every week I tweet that Halloween is coming just to get everyone excited”

“Okay, so hold on, hear me out before you say anything,” Annie LeBlanc adds, looking directly at Lilia. “At first, when I was younger, I wasn’t the biggest Halloween fan…”

Annie: Don’t give me that look!

Lilia: *gives look*

“[Halloween] scared me a lot,” Annie continues, “but now, as I’ve gotten older, I’ve gotten this appreciation for Halloween. I was like, this is actually really fun.”

“I don’t know what my favorite costume was,” says Lilia, “but one time I stole somebody else’s costume, and they were sushi, and then another person had a Minecraft head. So I put on the sushi and the Minecraft head and it’s my most iconic Halloween picture. Though I don’t think that really counts as a costume.”

“My costume game is pretty bad, to be honest,” confesses Annie, “but if I had to pick, I’d say one time I was a really scary bridesmaid and my sister was Dorothy and we got a picture. I thought that was pretty iconic.”

Any Halloween plans? “Last year was meh,” says Annie, “but this year, I have high hopes.”

Lilia: We should hang out!

Annie: Yes, let’s do it!

Q: Fave Costume?

Indiana Massara: Probably a last-minute one. About two years ago I wasn’t going to do anything, but I ended up going trick-or-treating with my friends and getting ramen. I threw together a cheerleader costume for the Bulls from things I happened to have in my closet. Weirdly enough, it’s one of my favorite costumes I’ve ever done.

Nia Sioux: I was Miranda Sings once, I thought that was pretty cool. Last year, I was a pink Power Ranger. This year, I don’t know what I’m doing for Halloween yet or where I’m going to be, but I think—this is my plan, I’ve been trying to do it for a long time—I’m going to be Patrick Star from Spongebob Squarepants, in the last movie where he has the fishnets and the high-knee boots on and sings “I’m a Goofy Goober.” That’s my goal for this year. I don’t know if it’s going to happen, but I’m going to try to make it happen.

Lily Chee: When I had this huge blow-up suit and my friend and I wore it, or when I was a mermaid a few times because I love mermaids.

Francesca Capaldi: I dressed up as Ariel a long time ago. And my first Halloween costume ever was an elephant, so that’s probably my favorite. Oh my gosh, I love Halloween, I really can’t wait. I always decorate my room for Halloween and just embrace the spooky spirit.

Kaycee Rice: I have two. Once, my sister and a couple of her friends were cheerleaders and football players, and I was the football! So I wore this brown sweatshirt my mom made and I had a pillow stuffed in it. It was super funny. Last year, I was actually Rachel from Friends. My friends and I all dressed up as the characters from one fo the episodes, which I actually think was “The One With the Football.” It’s always a football.
